Elizabeth Vulgamore

CFI-I, ASEL/ASES

Passionately living life in the right seat, Elizabeth Vulgamore is a flight instructor in Western Kansas.

Her passion for aviation began in 2012, when she became a pilot. As an advocate for aviation, she has served as the Volunteer Administrator for the Spencer Flight and Education Center since 2013.

While her love of aviation is broad, she has a focused desire in educating and training safe pilots through all stages of their aviation journey. As a female instructor, she has a heart for sharing general aviation with young women and encouraging them to take flight. In addition to her love of instructing, her passion for safety is demonstrated through her involvement as an FAASTeam representative, allowing her to aid in pilot safety and continuing education. Elizabeth recently added Airplane Single Engine Sea rating to her flight instructor certification.

As of 2024, Elizabeth has added FAA Gold Seal Flight Instructor to her accreditations. The FAA Gold Seal Instructor designation is awarded to CFIs that go above and beyond the normal requirements for being a flight instructor. With over 80,000 CFIs in the United States, only a small percentage hold this designation. There are several requirements, which include signing off at least ten students within a two-year period. Of those ten students, eight must pass their check ride on the first attempt.
